Meaningful Mutations is a collection of 8 essay-fictions on 8 album covers of the 20th-century. Written in the mode of an extended caption, the texts pursue the cultural landscapes in which these graphic artefacts were created.
If we perceive these images as a glossy veneer, a shimmering layer or glaze that sits on top of an authentic lived experience, my intention is for my writing to be in alliance with that glossy surface. ’
